Counsel, Business Conduct Office
Overview
The Business Conduct Office (“BCO”) develops and promotes the policies and trainings grounding Mastercard’s culture: the Code of Conduct, Whistleblower Policy, Non-Retaliation Policy, and the Conflicts of Interest Guidelines. Mastercard has various channels for reporting allegations of misconduct, and the BCO and Employee Relations ensure that investigations follow in a fair and robust way.
As Counsel in the BCO based in Canada, you will conduct internal investigations into business misconduct and perform other BCO activities, including vetting of conflicts of interest and drafting training materials, communications, and reports. This role requires the ability to conduct privileged investigations autonomously from beginning to end, including identifying issues, reviewing documents, conducting interviews, and presenting investigation findings in writing and at meetings. Expertise in investigations, a solid understanding of the laws and regulations applicable to Mastercard’s business, and the ability to articulate information at various levels of our organization are required. Attention to detail and judgment while handling confidential matters are also a must.
The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Counsel, Business Conduct Office.
