SickKids is seeking a congenial and collaborative lawyer to join its Legal Services team. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, this role will provide comprehensive legal support to a portfolio of internal hospital departments and affiliated entities. The position is for a six month fixed term, with the possibility that it could be extended to a permanent role.
Here's What You'll Need:
at least 4-6 years’ post-call experience gained at a law firm or in-house (experience practising in the public sector, and especially within the healthcare industry, will be considered an asset);
excellent drafting skills, with experience drafting and negotiating general commercial agreements;
experience with any of the following areas will be considered an asset: public procurement law (with an emphasis on IT procurements), privacy law, health law, legal/regulatory issues relevant to artificial intelligence/machine learning.
excellent diplomacy skills and a service-oriented approach; and
the ability to manage a high volume of files and manage competing priorities.
