Review and draft employment contracts, policies, agreements, and other legal documents, both nationally and internationally. Act as Bombardier's representative in mediations or hearings before competent bodies or tribunals. Manage litigation with external lawyers, nationally and internationally. Develop and participate in the implementation of tools and trainings for internal teams. Any other task relevant to the role may be assigned. How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:   You have between five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant experience (during which you have practiced in the field of Labour and Employment as a legal advisor in a reputable law firm) You are a member of the Quebec Bar. Membership of the Ontario Bar or a degree in Common Law is an asset. You are fluent in French and English (proficiency in both languages is essential given the international scope). You are at ease in a fast-paced environment, and you have the ability to manage multiple priorities. You can reconcile compliance requirements with practical business needs. You work well in a team but have the ability to work independently. You are available to travel occasionally if necessary. Compétences, connaissances et expérience requises:   Vous êtes membre en règle et pratiquant du Barreau pour au moins une province canadienne ou un état américain, incluant préférablement le Barreau du Québec. Le fait de posséder une formation tant en droit civil qu’en « common law » est un atout; Vous comptez au moins 5 années d’expérience concrète en litige, dont la majeure partie de cette expérience fut acquise au sein d’un cabinet d’avocats réputé; Vous démontrez des attributs de leadership, une grande autonomie et d’excellents réflexes juridiques, tant dans un contexte litigieux que d’affaires, vous donnant la confiance requise afin de prendre des décisions difficiles et stratégiques dans un environnement dynamique; fort de ces attributs, vous serez à même de questionner ou repenser certaines des stratégies qui peuvent vous être présentées par les avocats externes; Vous êtes à l’aise à œuvrer dans un environnement où des questions de nature abstraite technique (ingénierie, aéronautique, etc.) sont discutées; Vous gérez aisément un horaire chargé et êtes disponibles à voyager à travers le monde au besoin et ce, parfois avec un court préavis; Vous êtes un excellent communicateur, avez de fortes compétences en négociation et rédaction et êtes doté d’une capacité de persuasion supérieure; Vous êtes intéressé par les nouvelles technologies et à l’aise dans un environnement en constante évolution; Vous êtes parfaitement bilingue (français et anglais) tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit. Assist and/or lead the negotiation, drafting or review of various commercial contracts related to the support of the aviation aftermarket business including but not limited to large scale construction/ development agreements, agreements for lease, leases, asset purchase agreements, support services agreements, authorized service facility agreements, maintenance contracts, and agreements for new products and services. Manage claims and potentially litigious matters, in conjunction with the Legal Services Litigation team. Play a key role in proactively managing risk through training and coaching, as well as through the creation and implementation of efficient contract governance processes. Be solicited by your clients regularly in order to ensure compliance with contracts and to obtain an interpretation on different contractual provisions. Your recommendations will impact the day-to-day relationships with our customers and our service providers. As our ideal candidate, You are a practicing member of the Bar of at least one Canadian Province or one U.S. State, including preferably the Québec Bar. Having a civil law and a common law degree would be considered an asset. You have a minimum of 8 years of experience practicing commercial or transactional law or commercial litigation, with at least 2 years of practice within a renowned law firm. You show great leadership, are autonomous and have excellent legal and business acumen, giving you the confidence to take quick decisions and provide strategic advice in a stressful environment. Construction law, property law or M&A experience would be considered an asset. You are at ease to work in an environment where technical questions are discussed. You can easily manage a busy schedule. You have strong negotiations, drafting and communication skills as well as a superior capacity to convince people. Sound business judgment, coupled with good business sense, allowing you to provide efficient and value-added advice and solutions is essential. Strong organizational skills are needed. You have the ability to operate and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are perfectly bilingual (French and English), both verbally and in writing. You have good knowledge of MS-Office environment (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
