As a Legal Specialist you will be managing the firm’s corporate/partnership filings, licensing and certificate requests as well as overseeing/processing vendor invoices received on behalf of the Office of the General Counsel. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Manage the corporate/partnership filings and Minute Book maintenance for approx. 40 entities. Manage the private investigator license applications/renewals for Deloitte Forensic Inc. in various provinces. Manage/assist legal counsel with renewal of Gaming/Non-Gaming-Related Supplier Licenses in various provinces. Assist with exempt dealer filings and registrations for Deloitte Corporate Finance Inc. via the OSC NRD database. Monitor OGC Vendor Inbox and enter all invoices received into a tracking spreadsheet linking all invoices for easy reference. Send approved accounts to accounts payable for payment processing. About the team The Office of the General Counsel is a national, high performing group of professionals providing legal advice to the Deloitte Canada firm and our business leaders. They advise on corporate, commercial, regulatory, risk, employment, and litigation matters. Our work is rewarding and we see the impact of the services we provide to our clients. Enough about us, let’s talk about you You are someone who has: 5+ years' experience in a legal environment. Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse team. Strong organizational ability and ability to prioritize a diverse workload required, including handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction and take initiative as required. Effective decision-making ability, ability to exercise judgement, accuracy and attention to detail; works well under pressure. Advanced skills in Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
