Litigation Legal Assistant Dooley Lucenti LLP is seeking a full time Legal Assistant to join our civil litigation practice covering employment, estate litigation, and commercial litigation. The position will be working in a team of 3 lawyers and a law clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with a number of administrative tasks and responsibilities for the team, including: · Manage the lawyer's calendar, including arranging meetings, Examination for Discoveries, and court appearances by way of Zoom; · Assist in drafting and preparing legal documents and forms; · Handle client intakes, including completing conflict searches; · Open files in Soluno and ACL; · Arrange for service and filing of court documents; · Prepare court documents, including photocopying, tabbing and binding; · Prepare monthly accounts in Soluno; · Prepare and send accounts to clients; · Assist with drafting legal correspondence including pleadings; · Manage the paper and electronic filing; · Saving correspondence in the electronic file · Provide additional support for the Clerks, when needed. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, and excellent communication and inter personal skills. The position requires someone who has high attention to detail and can prioritize and multi task. This is the perfect position for someone looking to further their skills as a law clerk.
