Business in Vancouver also recognized Lawson Lundell LLP as the fastest growing law firm in Western Canada.   Position Summary Working with the Legal Talent Department and Professional Development Committee, the Legal Talent Coordinator (Associate Programs) will support the operational objectives of the associate programs in all of Lawson Lundell's offices.   This is a full time position. Generally, the hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; due to the nature of the role, some flexibility and overtime hours will be required for events and during recruitment periods.   Responsibilities General responsibilities include coordinating the recruitment and hiring, onboarding and orientation, professional development and performance management of associates.   Recruitment and Hiring Provide support for lateral associate recruitment including: Preparing job descriptions and posting positions Maintaining recruitment records Coordinating interviews of candidates Assisting with preparation of employment letters and offer packages Completing transferring lawyers checks Coordinate Law Society membership requirements, registrations and filings   Onboarding, Orientation and Programming Assist Legal Talent Department with the development, coordination and facilitation of associate onboarding Coordinate administrative requirements of onboarding including preparation of orientation agenda, manual, guest speakers, and systems training Provide guidance to associates regarding firm protocol, practices and procedures Assist Legal Talent Department with planning and coordination of social programs and events for associates   Professional Development and Performance Management Assist Legal Talent Department with professional development programming for associates Assist Legal Talent Department with planning and coordination of social programs and associate events Coordinate administrative requirements of associate mentorship program, including organizing of annual mentorship achievement awards and celebration Attend Professional Development Committee meetings and prepare agenda and meeting minutes Coordinate associate coaching schedule and processes Support the performance management of associates using viDeskop to track reviews, summarize and follow up on outstanding feedback Coordinate the associate review schedule for all practice groups Assist Director/Manager with preparation of associate secondment documentation, advising departments of details of secondment and tracking secondments Assist Legal Talent Department with associate offboarding processes Qualifications and Skills Post-secondary education in administration, or related field Relevant administrative experience in a professional services environment (law firm experience is preferred but an equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable) Human resources or recruiting experience an asset Impeccable organizational and time management skills, with the ability to keep on top of multiple deadlines Excellent communication skills and customer-service attitude The ability to work both collaboratively and independently Professional disposition with sense of humour Demonstrates discretion and respect for confidential material Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook   Exciting perks and benefits of working at Lawson: Competitive Compensation Health Benefits : extended health, dental, vision, out of country, life, ad&d Fitness Benefit : reimbursement for fitness equipment or fitness membership Education Reimbursement Benefit : the firm has a policy for reimbursement of tuition/course fees Paid Time Off : vacation time starts at 3 weeks, personal days, sick time, and a volunteer day every year Financial Benefits : defined contribution pension plan matched by the firm, RRSP, TFSA, year-end bonuses and an employee referral bonus program Fun Environment : annual year end party, happy hours, staff appreciation week, and many other social events Awards : long term service (bonuses & extra vacation)   If you are a positive, hard-working, and motivated individual looking for a legal talent opportunity, please submit your resume, with a cover letter to the attention of Allison Jackson, Director of Legal Talent and Katie Cooke, Manager of Legal Talent.   Although we thank all applicants for their interest in Lawson Lundell LLP, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
