This diverse team of professionals provides legal expertise to support the success of our operations across a broad range of practice areas. Responsibilities Work closely with MNP’s General Counsel, provide legal advice and support in a broad range of practice areas and business units Advise on matters related to securities, public companies and accounting standards Contribute to aspects of regulatory issues involving the firm and its personnel and provide support on regulatory matters Conduct high level legal research and provide advice to various leaders and executives Draft concise emails and legal documents Identify legal issues, research and analyze complicated situations quickly and develop practical solutions Develop good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and work effectively with outside counsel Write concise memos on regulations, legal/compliance matters and other ad hoc legal issues to support legal position and provide guidance to teams Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes Skills And Experience At least 10 years of post-call experience Significant experience with securities, regulatory compliance, and corporate law Exposure to public companies and transactions an asset Knowledge of corporate finance, tax, audit and accounting standards, processes and procedures is considered an asset MyRewards@MNP More than a paycheque, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards for our team members.
