Assessment accommodation Work environment The Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) is a federal government organization responsible for the prosecution of criminal offenses under federal jurisdiction. Our organization consists of approximately 1000 employees in regional offices across the country who all play a key role in strengthening Canada’s criminal justice system. The PPSC handles the prosecution of all Criminal Code offences in the territories as well as offences under all other federal legislation, such as the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and the Fisheries Act. The Yukon Regional Office is responsible for prosecutions throughout Yukon Territory. The regional headquarters is located in Whitehorse. The region’s areas of prosecution focus are Criminal Code prosecutions, prosecutions under the CDSA, and regulatory prosecutions. Whitehorse is Yukon’s capital and a major northern hub. It enjoys facilities, services and businesses far beyond the expectation of a city of 30,000. It's a big little city surrounded by wilderness with the amenities of a much larger destination paired with the friendly demeanor of a close-knit community.
