Legal Counsel (2 Year Term)
(Saskatoon)
Reporting to the Manager, Legal – Compliance Officer, this position is responsible for the following duties:
Responsibilities include:
Negotiate and draft supply chain contracts
Provide legal support to the Supply Chain Management department on commercial law, contract negotiation, and compliance (including anti-corruption, duty of vigilance, and other Orano compliance programs)
Review and revise contract templates
Review and revise company policies
Conduct legal research and draft memorandums
Provide general legal support to the Legal and other departments and McClean Lake operation as directed by the Manager, Legal
Promote Operational Excellence
Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
Practicing member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate-commercial law
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in supply chain contracts in a mining or large industrial setting
Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills
Able to identify risk and opportunity and empower appropriate team members to deliver solutions
Demonstrated research skills and advanced written and oral English language proficiency
Proficient with computers, SharePoint, MS Office 365 and Adobe
Understanding of the Canadian context for resource development
Works well independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent planning and organization skills to coordinate efforts and meet deadlines
Effective time management skills and able to prioritize work
Cooperative, collaborative, and fosters working relationships
Honest, ethical, and respects confidentiality
Work Location & Schedule:
Saskatoon Corporate Office
Occasional short trips to the McClean lake as required
