Trademark Lawyer

We are currently looking for a mid-level trademark associate to join our Trademarks Practice Group. The ideal candidate is a registered Canadian Trademark Agent and will have 3-5 years’ experience handling all aspects of trademark clearance, search analysis, prosecution, and contentious matters such as oppositions, section 45 proceedings, and enforcement proceedings. This position can be based out of any of Bereskin & Parr’s offices, which have implemented a permanent hybrid workplace model.

Qualifications:

• Licensed lawyer in good standing with the Ontario or Quebec Bar
• Registered Canadian Trademark Agent (preferred)
• 3-5 years relevant trademark prosecution, opposition, and enforcement experience (section 45 proceedings, demand letters, and litigation)
• Client-oriented and result-driven, able to work well in fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented, yet practical and business minded
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• High level of motivation, commitment, and leadership
• Team player

Education:

• LL.B. or J.D.
