Qualifications And Experience Required

Member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada, or another provincial bar is required
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant post-call legal practice, preferably gained with a top law firm or as in-house counsel for a technology corporation, and with a focus on product coverage, regulatory law (i.e. privacy, AML, etc.), dispute resolution/litigation and understanding and interpreting complex agreements
Experience in working with a large matrixed global organization
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, strong negotiation skills with good business judgment, and time and project management skills necessary
Labor and Employment law knowledge and experience is an asset
Fluency in written and spoken legal French is an asset

Member of the Bar of Quebec.
Five (5) years' - Seven (7) years' related experience
Experience in commercial and contractual law, ideally with a focus on intellectual property rights and protection of personal information, with negotiating and drafting experience.
Experience in the higher education sector will be an asset.
