Job Description

Legal Assistant – Business/Real Estate Law Group (14 Month Contract)

Are you seeking an exciting opportunity to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment? We are currently recruiting for a full-time, temporary position in our Business Law Group as a Real Estate Legal Assistant.

This role ensures accurate legal documentation is prepared by set timelines, assists with managing the day-to-day operations of the Lawyer and performs a variety of administrative duties, including but not limited to; obtaining title searches; preparing mortgage and closing documents; drafting correspondence for clients; lenders and other law firms; preparation and invoicing accounts; scheduling appointments and managing calendars and bring-forward system for the Lawyer.

The successful candidate ideally has the following qualifications:

  • 2-5 years’ in primarily in Real Estate, and Law Business Law;
  • Working knowledge of Conveyancer and Teraview;
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard legal industry software;
  • Hard working and dynamic self-starter;
  • Time management skills to manage a thriving practice;
  • Highly organized and detail oriented;
  • Ability to learn quickly;
  • Team player.
