The Canadian Red Cross is seeking a hard working and innovative Coordinator to join its Specialized Services, Legal and Risk Team based in Ottawa. The Coordinator, Specialized Services, Legal and Risk will report directly to the General Counsel and play a key role in supporting the entire team.

What will you do?

  • Clerical and Analytical Support for:

    • Enterprise Risk Management

    • Incident Management

    • Support to Small Business

    • Information as a Service

    • Housing Repair and Reconstruction (and other new projects)

  • Administrative and coordination support to Legal Services, Risk Services and Specialized & Advisory Services including:

    • On call/vacation schedule

    • Responsible for managing, tracking, and generating reporting on all active service delivery emails

    • Support with vendor management

    • Coordination of meetings

    • Preparation of documents, drafting communications, meeting notes, meeting minutes

    • Coordination of travel

    • Support to General Counsel with department budget

  • Project Coordination for active Incident Management and Critical Incident Management

  • Responsible to dashboards and reporting for progress against plan, quality metrics, and transactions

  • Collaborate with IS department to support department with technology initiatives

Past Education and Experience, we’re Flexible:

  • College degree in office administration and 5 years of experience as a Program Coordinator, Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant; or
  • PMO designation and/ or 3 years of experience as a Project Manager; or
  • Paralegal or Law Clerk designation and/or 3 years of experience; or
  • 3 plus years of experience as a Business Analyst; or
  • 3 plus years as a data analyst; or
  • 3 plus years as a program or project officer
