Emera is currently seeking a part-time Legal Assistant to provide a high level of support to the Legal team. More specifically, the Legal Assistant will:
Skills, capabilities and Experience
As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong word processing, document creation, formatting and editing skills in Microsoft Word, and superior knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite applications, you possess a legal assistant diploma from a recognized institution coupled with experience as a legal assistant supporting multiple lawyers in a corporate commercial environment.. A skilled communicator and collaborative team-player, you bring attention to detail and strong organizational and time-management skills including the ability to manage competing deadlines. Problem solving skills are also essential to succeed in this role. Lastly, you are highly adaptable and seek opportunities to learn, develop and make process improvements. Knowledge of SharePoint and Adobe Professional will be considered an asset.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
