Property Paralegal
Summerside, Prince Edward Island

Our Summerside office is currently seeking an experienced Property Paralegal to join
our team. The successful candidate will have a Paralegal or Legal Administration
diploma or other related education, with two or more years of experience working as a
property paralegal.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting lawyers with all aspects of commercial and residential property files;
  • Drafting documentation for property files;
  • Acting as a liaison between the firm and clients, providing clear and timely

communication on the status of property files;

  • Tracking outstanding deal documentation and managing property closings;
  • Providing formal post-closing reporting of property documentation to clients

and lenders;

  • Providing general administration support to members of the property team;
  • Working overtime as needed to meet client requirements; and
  • Other duties as required.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Works well in a high pressure, timeline-driven environment;
  • Dedicated to providing superior customer service and being a positive and

professional ambassador of the firm;

  • Able to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and

take initiative;

  • Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and to work with a diverse group of

lawyers;

  • Exceptional technology skills, with a proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft

Office and legal billing systems;

  • Able to communicate in a professional manner with lawyers and team

members; and

  • Two or more years of experience working in a property support role.
