Impact Recruitment is proud to be currently recruiting for an associate lawyer to carry out a general solicitors practice for a new private practice based in downtown Vancouver. The firm are growing and practicing in a variety of areas and are now looking to add to their team with an additional solicitor. With strong growth plans over the next few years this is a great opportunity for an ambitious junior lawyer who is looking to work towards partnership without all the red tape of the larger downtown practices.
The practice is known for having a great work life balance with no set billable hours target, collegial work environment and are know for having a culture of respect. Client care is also a very big factor for this practice and will always do what is needed to get the best result for their clients.
The successful candidate will be working as part of an established team and will have conduct of their own files. The successful candidate will have at least one years’ experience in running a general solicitors practice to include commercial transactions, general corporate, immigration and family matters. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
Running a full and varied caseload
Business development and networking
Family matters to include separation and prenuptial agreements
Handling immigration matters
Called to the BC Bar or eligible
At least two year’s post call experience
Experienced in running a solicitors practice
Strong drafting skills
Farsi language skills seen as an asset
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Up to $90,000 (negotiable based on experience)
