Position Summary

To provide administrative assistance to three real estate lawyers, two litigation lawyers and two employment lawyers in Walmart’s Legal Department.

Position Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has the requisite skills and experience which would allow them to successfully perform the following:

• Provide administrative support to multiple lawyers in the Legal Department across a range of practice areas
• Provide back-up assistance to other administrative assistants in the Legal Department, as required
• Ensure the proper opening, closing, and maintenance of all legal files, including in the ProLaw database
• Administer a follow-up tickler system for the various lawyers
• Coordinate internal/external meetings
• Liaise with stores and all departments within the Store Support Centre on behalf of various lawyers
• Perform general administrative functions such as document and letter preparation, reviewing mail, filing, document management, and other administrative duties as requested

Qualifications

• Community college diploma and/or 3-5 years senior level administrative experience required
• Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure high customer servicing
• Ability to work under minimum supervision using good problem solving and organizational skills
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple competing tasks and priorities assigned
• High degree of professionalism in dealing with Management level
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic changing environment
• Previous real estate administrative assistance would be an asset

Licensing & Other Qualifications

• Community college diploma and/or 3-5 years senior level legal administrative experience
• Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure high customer servicing
• Ability to work under minimum supervision using good problem solving and organizational skills
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple competing tasks and priorities assigned
• High degree of professionalism
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamicenvironment
• Previous Litigation and/or Real Estate administrative assistance experience preferred
