We currently have the privilege of working with a leading international business law firm in Toronto looking for a Banking and Finance Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate will independently manage the dialing activities of 2 lawyers' Banking and Finance practices with an emphasis on corporate and commercial lending transactions both secured and unsecured. They will possess strong work ethic, professionalism, and a positive attitude with a genuine interest in their legal career. Must possess a legal assistant certificate/diploma and at least 8 years of experience gained from a law firm setting together with in-depth knowledge and understanding of business and legal terminology and technology. To ensure success they will have a strong client service approach, excellent organization, problem-solving, impeccable proofreading and grammar skills. The responsibilities will include handling all administrative duties such as email and calendar management, preparing and maintaining a bring-forward system, preparing legal documents according to instructions or precedents, transcribing dictation, docketing and billing.
Salary will commensurate with experience with full benefits and other firm specific perks.
