We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Corporate Counsel team. The successful candidate will be based out of Edmonton, AB .

 

Your Duties

 

You will be an integral part of the company's Risk Management group and will have high level input to a wide range of legal and business issues affecting the corporation, including: securities law matters, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law matters, and intellectual property law. This is a position offering exceptional opportunities to be involved in significant aspects of the business of the company. The successful candidate will provide practical, pragmatic advice, have excellent attention to detail, and be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.

 

Travel within Canada and the United States will be required.

 

Your Capabilities And Credentials

 

To qualify for this role, you will be qualified to practice law in Canada and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta. You will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience gained at a large law firm or obtained in-house. Experience providing legal support to companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange will be considered an asset.
