Job description Responsibilities: Independently manage the daily operation of one Partner and one Associate with their busy and demanding litigation practices Prepare and complete all necessary litigation documentation such as motion records, pleadings, notices, affidavits, etc. Transcribe dictation with speed and accuracy Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients Ensuring all filing is organized and up to date on a daily basis, both physical and electronic Handle administrative details with respect to calendar management, bring forwards, client meetings, accounting, closing files and docketing The ability to work some overtime is required   Qualifications or Skill Required: Five years’ previous experience as a Legal Assistant in litigation Successful completion of a post-secondary program in a related discipline (i.e., legal assistant and/or law clerk course) Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure Strong technical skills using MS Office 2013 Previous digital dicta transcription experience Highly organized and meticulous with detail Ability to take initiative, prioritize and multitask Flexible, team player that is client service oriented with a strong work ethic
