To support our continued growth, we require a process-oriented and strategic-minded individual to join our management team in the role of Manager of Legal Operations. The Manager of Legal Operations will become the Firm’s strategic leader for overseeing the efficient operation and adequacy of internal resources. Through two-way communication with Firm leaders, the individual will anticipate and adapt to the changing needs of the Firm relating to workflow and talent management, practice management, legal content management and process execution. Experience/Skill Set: A lawyer with a minimum of 7 years of experience or an individual with 5+ years of experience in a law firm management position. Experience as a team leader and project manager with the ability to proactively identify, analyze, recommend and implement solutions relating to workflow efficiency, professional training and development, knowledge management and process improvement. An influencer with strong strategic, analytical, communication and reporting skills. Confident self-starter with a ‘figure-it-out’ mindset, strong personal productivity and time management skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A strong service mindset and a demonstrated track record of collaborating to cultivate an ethos of exceptional client experience. Key Responsibilities: Understand, manage, monitor and improve operational workflow; identifying gaps and opportunities in systems and staffing and proactively seeking solutions through strategic acquisition of systems and talent. Self-establishment as a trusted mentor to associates and law clerks. Collaborate with Firm leaders to develop, implement and oversee robust legal, technical and client service professional development training programmes which ensure proper experience and learning opportunities are provided to all associates and legal staff. Collaborate with Firm leaders to establish performance indicators to define success, measure results and optimize productivity of all personnel. Manage, monitor and improve Firm’s: legal resource materials (library and electronic), including regular analysis of suitability, gaps, and market search for emerging resource opportunities; technology resources and legal-specific software and programs; including regular analysis of suitability, gaps, and market search for technology resources which present opportunity for performance and capacity improvements; and knowledge management systems and procedures. Research, plan and implement various other projects as determined necessary or beneficial in collaboration with Firm leaders.
