Primary Responsibilities Manage all legal knowledge within firm; Update current research department structure and processes to optimise overall efficiency; Standardize practices, particularly by incorporating more rigorous work methods; Coordinate the work of other legal research lawyers who may be joining the team, providing organization and training to them as necessary; Consider the economic aspect of completing work; Receive, analyze, distribute and monitor research work; Actively participate in completing research work; Manage the library, subscriptions, resources, data banks, etc.; Participate in and support the recruiting of articling students and students in Montreal; Provide orientation and guidance to students in their work; Take part in mentoring new, young lawyers in Montreal; Mentor, advise, and support the career development of research lawyers and students at Clyde & Co.; Participate in other projects related to new priorities or emerging business needs in Canada.
